New Music: Mika

It's not every day that I download a cd and devour it immediately loving every song. It happened with Mika's American debut album, Life In Cartoon Motion. It's pop-love, self-confident, charming, theatrical and the dude puts together smart, emotional tracks.

Mika (rhymes with cheek-ah), an international man of (sexual) mystery, born in Lebanon with a childhood that took up through Paris to London, has birthed an album that's a candy-coated taste of living life optimistically with a sound that seems to get its inspiration from Elton John via Scissor Sisters, The Beatles and a lot of Queen.

Since I like each and every song I challenged myself to choose some favorite favorites for you to start with, here are my top three (for today):
