It's funny how one discover's something new. There is so much out there just waiting to be discovered and it makes me a little sad sometimes knowing I won't ever get to it all, but then I remember to appreciate what I do see, what I do have. And, of course, always try to remain open to discovering something I didn't know before, although I admit that I have trouble with that. I'm a boy who sticks by what he likes.
I have a new thing I'm sticking by: a little lady named Cariad Harmon. We have mutual friends and besides being a true personality with a uniquly beautiful look the girl can singer-songwrite in a way that'll transport you. Her voice comes from another time, another place and her heartache comes through. Her MySpace page lists her "sounds like" as Nora Jones and Joni Mitchell. What's great about Cariad is she sounds just like...herself. An instantly recognizable voice and, having seen her live a few times now, the banter just keeps getting better. If you get the chance I recomemnd it.
You can't buy Cariad's music quite yet, but the girl is talented and you should give her a listen. She's something new I've found and she always leaves me wanting more.
